I have made a booking and payment online, what happens if you are not able to operate due to Covid 19 Government restrictions and guidelines?
If we cannot operate due to Government guidelines on Covid 19 then a voucher or a refund will be issued to you.
What safety procedures have you in place during Covid 19?
We have implemented the following guidelines as per Irish Surfing, www.hse.ie, www.hsa.ie, www.gov.ie
Please do not come for your surf lessons if you have any symptons or feeling unwell
On registration we will be asking for your contact details which may be used for Contact Tracing if there was a suspected case of Covid 19.
We will use online payment or other contactless payment options.
We will be implementing the 2 m social distancing throughout the lesson.
We will request that you avoid gathering in groups around the truck, in order for the public to pass safely.
If possible, only the adult or child that is actually surfing be in the area of the truck.
We will have a hand sanitising station clearly visible for you to use. Please wash your hands before coming for your surf lesson and afterwards.
Cleaning of all equipment will be strictly adhered to by all staff.
Changing facilities
Due to Covid 19 restrictions we request that you change outside or at your car. In order to keep our staff safe, customers will not be allowed to enter the truck for any reason.
How long is a surf lesson?
Your lesson will take 2 hours. The first 20 mins or so is spent on the beach with the instructor. He/she will go through safety, your surfboard, leash, popping up, controlling your surfboard, and lots more.
You will then be taken into the water to practice catching waves, popping up and riding the waves to shore. Your instructor is in the water with you at all times and is on hand to answer any questions you may have.
I have booked a surfing lesson, what is provided and what do I need to bring with me?
We provide you with the surfboard and wetsuit for your lesson. Please bring a towel, swimwear to use under your wetsuit and a warm jacket for after surfing.
Will I be on my own or will I be in with others?
You will be part of a group, no more than 8 students per 1 instructor.
What happens if the weather is too bad for the lesson?
The lesson can be cancelled if the wind and sea conditions are not suitable. Our priority is your safety. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible in advance of cancellation. Unfortunately, we cannot control what Mother Nature throws at us!

I have booked my children into your surf camp, who will operate the camp, what safety precautions are in place?
Your children will be supervised by our Irish Surfing approved instructors, all of whom have an up to date Beach Lifeguard Qualification. The school is Irish Surfing approved, and adheres to strict operating guidelines. If, due to weather conditions not been suitable, we will take the camp to Waterpoint where the instructors will supervised activities.
